Your data
Take a copy, or end the account. Both happen while you wait.
Download everything we hold
Sign in and open your account settings. The file is built when you ask and downloads immediately. There is no queue and no waiting period.
It contains your account, your profile, your photo records, your prompts and interests, your matches, the messages you have sent, your rewards and your settings, as plain JSON that any text editor will open.
Two things are deliberately not in it. Your password, which is stored only as a hash and cannot be recovered, including it would turn the file into a cracking target for anyone who obtained it. And the identity of anyone who reported you, because an export is not a route to finding out who raised a concern.
Correcting something
Almost everything we hold about you is something you typed, and you can change it on your profile or in settings at any time.
Your date of birth is the exception. It is set once and cannot be edited, because an age-gated service where age is freely editable is not age gated. If yours is genuinely wrong, contact us.
Deleting your account
The same settings page. It asks for your password, tells you exactly what goes and what stays, and then does it, immediately and irreversibly.
What stays is the fact that a message was sent, so the other person's conversation still reads as a conversation; any report made about you and the decision attached to it; and a one-way hash of your address, held so that an enforcement action cannot be cleared by deleting and signing up again.
If your account is suspended or closed
A suspended or closed session is cut off before it reaches any of the above. That is deliberate, and it is also the one case where you cannot do this yourself.
Being removed from DuskMeet does not remove your right to have your data erased. Write to privacy@duskmeet.com from the address on the account and say what you want done. Erasure in that case is carried out by a named administrator and recorded.
