Cookies

There are three. All of them are needed to sign you in, and none of them track you.

Why there is no cookie banner

Consent is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary. DuskMeet does not set any, so there is nothing to ask you about, and a banner demanding consent for cookies that need none would be theatre.

If that changes, the banner arrives with the cookie and not before, and declining will be as easy as accepting.

The complete list

dm_session: proves you are signed in. Short lived, sent only to DuskMeet, and unreadable by JavaScript running in the page.

dm_refresh: renews the session one above so you are not signed out every few minutes. Sent only to the single endpoint that renews sessions, and to nothing else on the site. It changes value every time it is used.

dm_admin: the equivalent for the administration panel. You will never receive this one unless you work on DuskMeet.

That is the entire list. There is no fourth cookie.

What we do not set

No advertising cookies. No third party analytics. No tracking pixels, no social network embeds, and no fonts loaded from somebody else's server, which is a request that carries your address and the page you were reading whether or not it sets a cookie.

Other storage in your browser

DuskMeet does not use local storage, session storage, or an in-browser database to hold anything about you.

Refusing them

Your browser can block cookies for this site. The result is that signing in will not work, because the only thing these cookies do is keep you signed in. The public pages, this one included, read normally without them.

Clearing them signs you out. It does not delete your account; that is on your data.
